To create a truly exclusive environment that matches her master, the designer chose a rather complex and rare style - eclecticism. The combination of the Scandinavian interior with elements of the furniture of the eighties of the last century made it possible to achieve an impressive effect when fulfilling the basic requirements of the customer.
Layout
Initially, the apartment was not planned in the best way, so it was necessary to make some changes. So, the bathroom was slightly increased, while the area of the entrance zone decreased. The partition between the kitchen and the living room was dismantled. The loggia was used to create a study - it was insulated and attached to the kitchen. As a result, the space of the apartment expanded, its usable area increased.
Living room
Since there is only one living room in the apartment, it performs two functions at once - a living room and a bedroom. At the same time, the placement of these functional zones in the room is quite original - the sleeping part is located near the windows, in the bay window, and the living room is near the entrance.
The initial layout of the one-room apartment of the P-44 series was changed due to the demolition of part of the partitions and the removal of doors - they were replaced by glass partitions moving along the guides. The entrance and the living room are separated by just such a partition-door.
The storage system also turned out to be very original: under the ceiling along the wall there was a row of closed drawers illuminated from above by an LED strip: it looks stylish and convenient to use. Books and magazines are stored in shelves of an unusual shape - the designer got the idea for their creation in the works of the Memphis group.
The construction in the bay window - a podium with colored pillows near the wall - can be used as a relaxation area during the day. At night, the podium turns into a comfortable berth. To prevent the light from disturbing during night rest, the windows are equipped with roller blinds. The light curtain of white tulle gives comfort, which does not prevent sunlight from entering the room. Three colored suspensions hanging from the ceiling accent the lounge area.
The design of a one-room apartment looks original due to the competent use of the available space and the use of non-standard design techniques. For example, an ordinary bookcase has become a decorative element of the interior due to the fact that its shelves vary in height and width.
The cabinet occupied a wall, which is otherwise difficult to use, freeing up the usable area. Multi-colored book roots in combination with shelves of different sizes look very dynamic and stylish. In addition, the rack serves as a place of “storage" of the glass partition between the room and the kitchen - it is pushed in there if necessary to combine both rooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen room also performs two functions at once. This is actually the kitchen where the food is prepared, and the dining room. The cooking area is small, which is justified in a bachelor apartment. In the dining area there is a large table with comfortable chairs around it, a sofa near the wall separating the kitchen and the former loggia, turned into a study.
To facilitate the perception of the kitchen unit, the upper row of closed shelves were not raised to the ceiling too high. To prevent kitchen equipment from catching the eye, the cabinet facades are made in a minimalist decor - they are white, smooth and devoid of handles.
The window block with the door leading to the loggia from the kitchen was removed - they left only the bottom of the wall under the window, closing it with a countertop on top. In the corner we put a small table for a laptop and next to it is an armchair. The result was a cozy working corner. Such an association is another technique that made it possible to turn the layout of the P-44 in a one-room apartment, initially not too comfortable, into stylish modern housing that meets the highest comfort requirements.
Bathroom
The bathroom area increased due to the entrance hall contained not only a large bath, but also a shower, which is very convenient. The cabin is separated from the washbasin by a solid wall, and on the side of the bathtub is closed by glass doors. This solution allows you to isolate the shower area and ensure its privacy.
The niche near the bathroom is covered with greenish glass, illuminated from the inside, and trimmed with tiles. Its geometric pattern adds dynamics to the interior of the room. The use of pendant lights adds coziness.
