Redevelopment of the apartment

The redevelopment of the apartment in Khrushchev began with the demolition of those parts of the walls that were not load-bearing. Only those walls that were in the bathroom in its “wet zone” were not touched. In addition, during the redevelopment of Khrushchev, an additional wall was erected in the bedroom, blocking the place for the dressing room. This avoids cluttering the space with individual storage systems. The wardrobe has two entrances - from the bedroom and from the living room, which is very convenient.

Kitchen-living room design

The walls in the design of the small apartment of Khrushchev were decorated with light gray stucco, the sofa area with decorative white brick. The result was a typical Scandinavian design background, on which color accents look advantageous.

The built-in storage system looks like a part of the wall, on which a large inscription is applied - this does not violate the integrity of the interior design. The partition on which the TV panel is located separates the living room and kitchen area. The color accent in the design was the turquoise carpet on the living room floor.

The dining group in the apartment of Khrushchev is located in the living room - this is a table from the Finnish designer Eero Saarinen, Tulip, surrounded by chairs from the Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. According to the author of the project, Galina Arabskaya, it is the presence of such things that give completeness to the interior design, communicating individuality and making the atmosphere more comfortable and elegant.

The main decorative accent of the kitchen-living room falls on the dining group, so both the sofa and kitchen furniture are very modest and minimalistic - they should not distract attention from the center of the composition.

In the design project of the apartment in Khrushchev, several light schemes are provided. Each functional area has its own lighting scenario, the backlight can be turned on both simultaneously and in parts - for example, you can light up only the table near the TV.

The sofa area is illuminated by ceiling lights hidden in a drywall niche, and small built-in ceiling lights. The dining room furniture is illuminated by a designer lamp on the wall - designed by Serge Mouille.

Bedroom design

The main decoration of the small bedroom is the wall behind the headboard, pasted over with the wallpaper of the Soul collection. A large Borastapeter drawing resembles fabulous trees, and a decorative mirror is the sun rising in a fantastic forest.

The gray fabric upholstery of the Drim Italia bed by Ditre Italia makes it unusually comfortable. Instead of traditional nightstands, two Adjustable Cigarette coffee tables made of steel structures with glass countertops were placed near it - they look light, almost weightless, and do not visually reduce the area.

The light is provided by two Cosmo Capsule pendant lamps by the bed and an unusual Delightfull table lamp made in Portugal.

Wardrobe

Since I did not want to clutter up a small apartment in Khrushchev, the designer allocated a separate dressing room for storage. Dividing the bedroom into two volumes with the help of a partition, she simultaneously solved the problem of correcting the proportions of the room: the previously elongated and narrow bedroom became more harmonious and approximated in shape to a square.

To use the dressing room was convenient, two doors were made into it - one leads to the bedroom, the other to the living room.It will fit both clothes and shoes for all seasons, and travel suitcases.

The small kitchen has become more spacious due to the recreation area, equipped on the balcony, which had previously been glazed. A small table, a chair that can be folded up when unnecessary and a small sofa form a cozy space. In addition, you can store things in the sofa, for the same purpose, a cabinet is hung on one of the walls.

Bathroom Design

In the apartment of Khrushchev, a small bathroom contains a corner shower, hanging toilet, a cupboard with a sink and built-in washing machine, as well as two spacious storage systems above the sink and toilet.
