The “kopeck piece” in the old house with ceilings of 3.8 m was turned into a “one-room house” by combining both rooms into one. The result was a large living room. Bedroom in high ceiling apartment design got a place on the mezzanine, which was quite suitable for young people.
In the living room, it was decided to expand the windows and arrange French balconies, which reminded the hostess of her beloved Paris. I also had to build retaining structures for mezzanines that can withstand heavy loads. Originality The interior of the apartment is 64 sq. m it is underlined by lamps: central, white, can give blue and yellow color, and the floor lamp is painted in intense black and equipped with a license plate.
Important place in high ceiling apartment design takes a stove-potbelly stove playing the role of a fireplace. The possibility of installing it appeared due to the fact that the apartment is located on the top floor, and to remove the chimney through the roof was not a big problem.
Parquet was laid by the standard method - “herringbone”, but the boards for it were taken narrow and long, as is customary in Europe.
Steps “goose step” (in order to save space) lead to the mezzanine, to the bedroom place.
At the head of the mattress is a small storage system.
The interior of the apartment is 64 square meters. m armchairs from the flea market, colored chairs from the French school, as well as paintings by artists - friends of the hosts decorate.
The small bathtub was replaced with a large shower cubicle, the floor of which was laid out with marble.
The tiny toilet room looks spacious due to the use of a large mirror as one of the walls.
In some places, brickwork appears on the walls - this is one of the decorating techniques used by the hostess.
Kitchen furniture for apartment design with high ceilings specially made. All the necessary things were removed in the floor cabinets, and in the hinged they placed dishes and souvenirs.
From the kitchen you can get to the balcony, which offers magnificent views of the old cathedral. One of the walls of the balcony was decorated with antique tiles exported from Spain.
