The basis of the style is the natural colors of the sea, sky, sand, clouds. It uses materials such as wood, stone, and decorative elements reminiscent of the sea: shells, rounded pebbles in waves, images of marine life.
All this allows you to feel the breath of the breeze in the sea bedroom, the sound of the surf, relax the nervous system and truly relax.
Marine design has its own characteristics that can be used in the design of the premises.
Colors. White, blue, cyan, turquoise, azure, beige, sand, navy blue are used as primary, coral, black, red, yellow, orange - as additional or accent.
Finish. The walls of the bedroom in a marine style can be decorated with wood - this will resemble ship lining.
Wall decoration with decorative plaster looks good, the use of marine-themed wallpapers is also acceptable.
The floors are either covered with light-colored carpeting, or a plank floor imitating a deck is laid.
Furniture. The selection of furniture in the sea bedroom requires a careful approach, it should be wooden, and preferably with the effect of antiquity. Wicker furniture, leather, wooden, bamboo chests, drawn by decorative belts, look interesting.
Decor The main pattern associated with the sea in textiles is a strip. The nautical-style bedroom can be decorated with decorative pillows in a blue and white narrow strip; the upholstery can have wide stripes of beige and blue hues.
On the shelf or bedside table near the bed you can put a beautiful sea shell, and hang on the wall a part of the ship, but you need a sense of proportion: too many decorative objects can ruin the overall impression.
Coral details in the interior will add brightness and allow you to highlight objects that you need to pay special attention to, for example, textiles or lamps.
Textile. The sea bedroom should be filled with a breeze and freshness, and correctly selected textiles will help to create such an impression. Light, almost transparent tulle or organza, falling with free folds and swaying with the slightest wind blow, will give the necessary effect.
You can complement them with dense curtains of unbleached linen or cotton, similar to old sails. To enhance the impression, they are picked up by thin ropes, and at their end they are tied with sea knots.
