Workshop of a basket of knitted yarn
Such a basket can store various little things: it turns out to be strong and roomy. A detailed description for beginners can be found in the video block.
Materials
What is needed:
- Knitted ribbon yarn of any color suitable for the interior.
- Hook number 9.
- Needle.
- Scissors.
Step-by-step instruction
We will denote “SC columns” by the abbreviation SBN, and “air loop” - VP.
- Knit the bottom of the basket. Its basis is the amigurumi ring (detailed video below). We bind the ring 6 sc and 1 VP.
- We knit 2 sc in each loop of the previous row, and at the end we create a VP.
- We knit the third row. In its first loop we pass 1 sc, and in the second we do 2 sc. We finish the VP.
- We knit the increments through 2 loops - 1 sc, 1 sc, increase (we knit 2 sc in one loop of the previous pigtail). We complete the VP.
- We make increases through 3 loops - 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc. We finish the VP.
- We repeat the previous steps, but after 4 loops and end with an air loop. The bottom of the basket is ready, go to the sidewalls.
- Skip the hook inward and pull the loop, as in the photo:
- We make a circle of sc.
- We make the sidewalls with single crochet, inserting the hook in the center of the column.
- We finish the last row with connecting loops when the basket reaches the desired height. We hide the tails with a needle.
How to crochet a jute basket?
A needlewoman will need such a large basket with lace trim to preserve threads and yarn, will fit perfectly into the bathroom and will contain towels or linen, and will also help to arrange toys in the children's room.
Materials
For work, in addition to patience, you will need:
- Jute rope (twine, rope or harness also suitable).
- A suitable size hook or spoke (depending on the thickness of the rope).
- Cotton thread.
Step-by-step instruction
Getting to knitting and weaving:
- We knit air loops (30 pcs) and put the jute near the resulting row.
- We knit single crochet through a jute cord.
- At each turn of the rope, add 3 SC. We knit the bottom to the end until it becomes a suitable diameter.
- We pass to the sidewalls. In each corner it is necessary to knit an additional loop.
- For handles, we knit about 20 loops without knitting through the air loops of the lower row.
- We fix the edge of the rope with several columns.
- The basket is ready!

Walkthrough
Getting to knitting:
- We make an amigurumi ring:
- We knit 7 half crochets with a crochet and connect them with the eighth loop.
- Tighten the ring.
- We knit loops in a circle, all of them should turn out 16.
- We make increments in one row: after the air loop, alternate the single crochet, that is, we knit one "half-column", then two, repeat until the pigtails are completed. We build the bottom of the right size.
- Proceed to the walls of the basket. To do this, we knit a single crochet under each loop of the previous row. Repeat in a circle to the desired height.
- To change the color of the basket, we knit the single crochet columns with a new cord.
- We make the handle using 7 air loops and continue to knit in a circle.

Photo of knitted baskets in the interior
Crocheted baskets not only decorate the interior, but also come in handy on the farm. In the bathroom you can store cosmetics, cotton pads and sticks in them, and the product, supplemented by a lid, will bring even more order to the atmosphere. A basket with a handle can be hung on the toilet door and hidden inside the toilet paper. And in the nursery, a large basket will easily fit your favorite toys.
Crocheted baskets will find their use in the kitchen and living room. You can put flowers in them, keep magazines or books on hand. In addition, it is easy to knit a cozy nest for a pet from thick knitted yarn.
