Walls
Concrete walls are a rather unusual way of decorating the interior of an apartment. In addition to pure concrete, there are several other options that give almost the same visual effect. For example, some types of plaster, they can already be applied as a decorative part of the repair.
Spatula mass is applied according to the same principle as plaster. A lot of different fractions are made, which gives more opportunities for the realization of ideas. Rolled concrete is easy to repair, and the thickness of the canvas reaches 5 mm. Concrete slabs and photo prints can recreate the desired texture and shade.
Ceiling
Concrete ceiling is suitable for decoration of a modern interior. The gray color will make the room cool, lamps with warm light and wall decoration in the palette of warm colors will help to add coziness. It’s a good idea to whitewash the concrete ceiling, the surface will retain a unique texture and make the room brighter. A clean solution can be replaced with plaster and photo print ceilings.
Floor
The concrete floor will not deform due to humidity and will last for many years, but it will be very cold. In an apartment or house, it can be replaced with an imitation coating, such as linoleum, tile or underfloor heating.

- Varnished. A more cost-effective way to process a concrete surface. The surface becomes shiny and vibrant.
Natural concrete and its imitations
Clean concrete
- Building concrete used for the construction of the frame of monolithic buildings and floors. The main composition: cement, crushed stone, water, sand. The ratio of the components is selected depending on their properties.
- Architectural concrete differs from the building by additional additives such as dyes, leveling agents, ceramic chips or glass. Such a composition is used for interior decoration, such as walls, bar counters or fireplaces.
Concrete imitation
You can achieve the same visual effect with other finishing methods. Using various materials, you can choose the desired color, pattern and texture.
- Wall panels. Gypsum panels have a number of advantages, they are lighter than concrete, and the range of models is much wider. In addition, it is much easier to work with panels, and they look no less impressive.
- Plaster. There are several types: lime and marble plaster. Lime plaster filters the air and is suitable for allergy sufferers.Marble contains in its composition flour from marble, gypsum and lime. The visual effect can be matte and glossy.
- Spatula mass - It is a durable elastic compound that interacts well with moisture. Spatula mass can have a different composition, from fine-grained with interspersed to coarse-grained.
- Rolled concrete, wallpaper and photo wallpaper. Roll concrete is a flexible sheet consisting of mineral flour up to 5 mm thick. It is applied to the wall using special glue. Wallpaper and photo wallpaper, perhaps one of the easiest ways to decorate. Photo printing can accurately imitate the pattern.
- Tile Another way to stylishly decorate the interior. A wide tile with imitation of concrete can decorate a kitchen, hallway, or restroom.
- Imitation painting. Not the easiest way, but the most creative. The prepared polished surface can be painted, repeating the patterns of a real concrete slab.
Room decoration in the apartment
Kitchen
In the kitchen, concrete mortar can participate in almost any surface. Walls, a floor or a ceiling made of concrete will set the character in the interior, the surface may be rough and unprocessed or, conversely, have a glossy surface. The latter option is suitable for small kitchens, it will seem spacious due to reflective properties.
The tabletop or the whole island can also be concrete. The surface is heavy, but durable and reliable, it will look very impressive in the interior.
Concrete mortar can also be involved in small details, such as hanging shelves, a kitchen apron or a small stove above the dining area.
Living room
In addition to the main surfaces: floor, walls and ceiling, decorative elements, tables or cabinets for TV can be concrete.

Bedroom

Combination with other finishing materials
- With a tree. Combination with wood will make the interior warmer, it will soften the cold material. A similar solution is suitable for a room in a country style, loft, eco-style.
- Brick. Brick and concrete look harmoniously together. An ideal combination for a loft interior. Depending on the color of the brick, the room will be cold or warm.
- Glass. The combination forms a strict and brutal interior. Glass can serve as a partition, protection or decorative addition. Glass over a concrete wall will give a reflective surface that will visually increase the area and will be interesting to look in the big picture.

Concrete furniture
